About Us
A Genuine Love of Dogs
Muddy 2 Marvellous was built on one simple belief — every dog deserves to be treated with patience, care, and a little bit of joy.

Serving the local community since day one
How It All Started
I've been around dogs my whole life. Growing up with Great Danes and terriers in the Dorset countryside, I learned early on that a dog who feels safe and comfortable will always come out looking their best — and that the relationship between a groomer and a dog matters just as much as the groom itself.
17 years ago I trained within a working salon as a professional groomer and after some time away from grooming, starting a family, I set up Muddy 2 Marvellous at first in Hamworthy, Poole but now based right here in Dorchester. The name says it all — I love taking a dog who's had a proper muddy adventure and sending them home looking absolutely marvellous.
I work with one dog at a time. No kennels, no waiting around, no stress. Just a calm, unhurried appointment where your dog gets my full attention from start to finish.
Experienced & Insured
You can leave your dog with complete confidence.
What I Believe In
Patience above all
Some dogs take time to settle. I never rush an appointment, and I never force a dog into something they're not comfortable with.
Honest communication
I'll always tell you how your dog got on, flag anything I noticed, and be upfront about what's achievable for their coat type.
One dog at a time
Your dog is never left alone or kennelled while waiting. They have my undivided attention for the whole appointment.
Dorset through and through
I'm proud to be a local, independent business serving the dogs and owners of Dorchester and the surrounding area.
